The National Association of the Remodeling Industry - Kansas City Chapter (NARI KC) Education Committee is pleased to host in person study groups for Certified Remodeler (CR), Certified Remodeling Specialist (CRS), and Certified Remodeling Associate (CRA) . Led by a course instructors, this is a live interactive group to assist the student in preparing for the certification examination scheduled for December 4 – 17, 2023.
               
CERTIFICATION ROADMAP FOR CR/CRS/CRA
Eligibility Requirements

• Currently employed by or own a firm that derives at least 90% of its sales volume through remodeling work.
• Minimum of 5 years continuous experience in the remodeling industry.
• Minimum of 16 hours of continuing education.

Application Process

• The national application fee is $600 for members and $850 for nonmembers.

• Online testing December 4 – 17, 2023.

Kansas City Study Group

• 14 weeks
• Every Tuesday August 29 – November 28, 2023, from 4:30-6:30 pm
• Study Group meets at NARI KC Office and includes dinner and soda/water.
• Includes 28 CEU that can be used on the national application.
• Instructor: Chris Peterson, MCR, CRPM, CLC
• The Kansas City study group fee is $400 for members and $500 for nonmembers.
• Registration instructions for the study are included in the national application process.

ABOUT CERTIFIED REMODELER (CR)
CRs are recognized as highly experienced remodeling professionals who provide a full range of remodeling services.  CRs possess expertise in a broad range of business management and technical skill areas, identifying them as well-rounded remodeling experts capable of managing all aspects of a remodeling project.

ABOUT CERTIFIED SPECIALIST (CRS)
CRS are specialized remodeling professionals who focus on one specific type of service, such as concrete and masonry, electrical, insulation, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, roofing, and siding, etc.

ABOUT CERTIFIED REMODELER ASSOCIATE (CRA)
CRA is a professional who actively supports the remodeling industry in professions such as architects, designers, manufacturers, suppliers, and consultants.
